Small Wonders Day Nursery is equipped to take children from 3 months to 5 years in the nursery, and from 4-8 years old in the Out of School Club. The aim is to create a programme that will support the lives of busy people whilst ensuring your child is cared for and educated in a purpose built, fun, modern and stimulating environment.
We are very proud of our attainment in 'Quality Counts', which is an Investors in Children endorsed quality assurance scheme of the National Day Nurseries Association. This is an assessment of our standards over and above those required by OFSTED, which is judged by an independent panel. As one of the first nurseries in the county to achieve this award, it reinforces our commitment to providing the highest quality care for our customers.
We are delighted to also have been awarded the 'Heartbeat Award' from East Northamptonshire County Council. This is in recognition of the healthy meal options we offer each child in the nursery. All fruit, vegetables and meat are freshly procured and are sourced from high quality local producers. All foods are assessed for their fat and salt content before being offered to the children. Our 4 week menu rotates on a weekly basis and includes offering fruit for snack or pudding at least 7 times per week. We also promote the 'Stop the rot' campaign, that ensures a maximum of 2 sugary desserts per week, which are followed by milk as a tooth cleaning substitute.
All age groups run alongside a flexible daily routine, which includes exciting opportunities and activities to enable children to learn through play. Each room offers craft activities, sensory experiences, group/circle times, snack/meal times, outdoor play and much more on a daily basis.
We are extremely pleased with our recent OFSTED report, for which we recieved 3 outstanding marks. Please refer to their website for more information on this.
