St Peter's Children's Centre is a 39-place Children's Centre, catering for children from birth to 5 years. Hourly, 4 Hour Sessions, Full Day and Full Time care is offered.
St Peter's Children's Centre comprises of a baby room for the 0-2 year age range, with a separate snooze room. It is fully equipped to accommodate up to 9 babies.
When your child reaches 2, they will join the peacock room, and when they turn 3, they will start in the rainbow room, which caters for children up to the age of 5 years.
All our staff are fully trained and have been police checked. The Children's Centre meets all relevant Fire Service and Environmental Health checks. We are also registered with OFSTED, and are regularly inspected to ensure a high quality of care and education.
We have our own kitchen and cook on site. All our meals are prepared using fresh ingredients. Special diets can be catered for.
Within the Centre all activities have been carefully planned to suit all ages and stages of development and to allow spontaneity. We follow the Birth to Three Matters Framework for the 0-2's and the Early Years Foundation Stage for 3+ year olds.
At St Peter's Children's Centre we have a large outdoor play area with safety surfacing, and a six-seater buggy, which we use to take the children out along the nearby seafront and the local area.
We were voted, by parents/carers, as finalists in the Childcare Awards in 2003-2006 and have achieved the Investors in People and Quality Assurance kite mark awards.
