Paradise Community Nursery is a key facility within the Pheonix Community Centre and has been providing first class, affordable childcare since 2001. Paradise Community Nursery has a well qualified team of experienced staff, who enjoy spending time caring for children aged from birth to 8 years, and work hard to make the childrens time spent with us as comfortable and fun as possible.

At Paradise we provide all of our children with an area to play, develop and relax in, with comfortable surroundings. Within the nursery facility, we have a dedicated area for babies with soft furnishings and sensory toys, as well as areas for toddlers and pre-school aged children to have role play and structured activities. Children are encouraged to develop to their full potential through the medium of play, making good use of our extensive variety of stimulating, outdoor and indoor play equipment and toys.

The nursery has its own outdoor play area with safety flooring, as well as surrounding areas to explore such as the adventure playground, large playing fields, herb garden and basket ball court. Come Rain or shine, our children still get plenty of exercise! On wet days, we can use rooms within the community centre for games, giant soft play shapes and blocks, ball pools, parachute games, slides and lots, lots more!

The children at Paradise Community Nursery benefit from the Pheonix Centre Library, with the friendly library staff arranging regular story, poetry and singing sessions which tie in with our curricular themes. Children also enjoy frequent visits to the IT suite to use software and PC games which develop early learning and computer skills.

Paradise Community Nursery believes in equal opportunities for all, and prides itself on being able to adapt activities and routines to meet indevidual needs.

You can provide a packed lunch for your childs stay or choose from some of the healthy meals and snacks which are provided by The Pheonix Community Cafe. Special dietry requirements are also catered for when specified.

Please telephone our Nursery Manager Sandra Williams or Deputy Manager Katie Kneath for more information.
