Childsplay Day Nursery is a bright and happy little nursery situated in a large Victorian building with substantial grounds. Childsplay celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and flourishes under the happy leadership since 1989 of our Principal - Rachel Bowater and our Nursery Manager - Leanne Bramwell. We have our own full time qualified teacher and all of our nursery nurses are fully qualified.
Childsplay is a well established nursery with friendly qualified staff, many of whom are parents themselves. This means that we share the overriding desire to provide the very best for our children. This is firmly understood and put into practice at Childsplay. We aim, quite simply to give our very best. Children are individual, very special and so precious to each parent. We seek to bring out the very best in every child.
We have a wide range of educational toys and each playroom is geared to different forms of play. Although toys are plentiful it is important to note that a good nursery is about so much more. It is learning through play, the quality of time spent with the children in role play, story time, singing and dancing, artwork, sand and water play, dressing up.... these are the things that matter.
Childsplay is particularly renowned for its friendliness. It is a source of great pride that the happy faces and evidently stimulated minds of the children attending reflect the way our nursery is run.
We have a bright and pretty Baby Unit, a very welcoming main nursery and extensive grounds with grassed lawns, playing field, hard surface areas equipped with bikes and trucks and a large play centre with climbing frame, swings and slides.
We have our own mini bus for trips out (with parental consent).
