Links Nursery Craighall in Glasgow are an independent Nursery Company who have been operating in Edinburgh and East Lothian since 1995. Links Nursery Craighall is a purpose built Nursery in the centre of the village. At present we estimate our opening date to be May 2009. Our aim is to provide a high quality, safe and nurturing environment to enable our children to be cared for and develop in the best possible surroundings.
We are open all year with the exception of the 2 public holidays at Christmas and New Year. We open at 7.30 am and close at 6.00 pm.
All our staff will have, or will be working towards their Nursery Nurse qualification and our Managers also have, or are working towards a Nursery Management qualification. Each Nursery has a Manager and Deputy Manager with a Room Supervisor for each age group. We will aim to be a 'Partner Provider' with Glasgow City Council to provide the pre-school education curriculum.
Links Nursery Craighall has been established with the needs of children aged 0-5 in mind. We will care for the children in at least 4 groups i.e. 0-12 months, 12 months - 2 years, 2 - 3 years and 3 - 5 years, although the 3 - 5 age group may be subdivided to form a pre-school group. In this way the children have key workers, facilities, toys etc. specifically for their age and stage of development. Children of all ages will come together on occasion to allow siblings to play/snack together and to encourage social skills amongst all the children.
The Nursery will have an outdoor garden play areas, sleep/rest rooms, wet play areas and fully equipped kitchen facilities to provide nutritious lunches and snacks. Links Nursery Craighall will also have a Sensory room incorporating interactive fibre optics, bubble tubes, light displays and sensory toys for both a stimulating or soothing experience for even the very young.
Links Nursery Craighall will also have a computer suite for educational and play use.
We will have a pet corner to teach children responsibility and care and we will have regular visits from, for example, our dance teacher, sports coach and music teacher.
