The nursery was established in 1972 as a playgroup.
In September 2007 the nursery was able to extend the hours of opening from 8am until 5pm to offer more flexibility to parents.
There is a large outdoor area and the staff take full use of this and the local countryside to extend the children learning.
The children take part in Sports day, Harvest festival and the Christingle service at the local church as well as Multi cultural festivals.
The nursery has no kitchen facilities at the present but parents provide packed lunches for the children who stay over the lunch hour.
