Our flexible package of full days, half days and hour bookings are aimed to meet the needs of all families.
Furthermore, we offer a home from home environment and by keeping our numbers low we are able to adapt our nursery routine to incorporate the needs of your child.
Simba's Den is designed through the eyes of the child.
All decisions that have been made surrounding the layout, furniture and equipment have been directed at creating a welcoming and secure environment.
On registration your child will be assigned a key worker who will be responsible for the settling in and development of your child during his/her time at the nursery.
There will be opportunities to talk to your key worker on a daily and annual basis.
Furthermore, we welcome parents to come into Simba's Den at any time to have a friendly chat with staff, look through your child's development folder and spend time with your child ensuring he/she is happy and comfortable in their new surrounding.
Within our baby room your child will be cared for by specialist baby carers.
Each of our carers will look after a maximum of three babies, with the nursery taking a maximum of six babies.
This means that your child will always be given the individual care and attention required.
Each baby has their own equipment (low chairs, cots etc) that is personal to them throughout their time at the nursery.
Each item will be clearly labelled with a laminated picture and 'all about me' sheet before your child's arrival.
This process of recognition will be important to your child during their time in our setting.
Our specially designed sleep/ quiet room will ensure that your child will be able to rest according to their own routine and our meal times can be adapted to suit individual requirements.
Our pre-school area is based around the six areas of the Foundation Stage Curriculum.
