Scallywags provide good quality affordable childcare in Weymouth. Educational sessions are led by highly trained Nursery Practitioners and overseen by a qualified teacher with Early Years Professional Status.
Scallywags Child Care Centre is a well established group and has operated as a full day care facility since 1988. The Child Care Centre is open from 7.30am to 6.00pm five day a week and only closes on bank holidays and between Christmas and New Year.
A wide range of booking options are available to families, ensuring that we are able to meet individual needs. Charges are made on an hourly, daily or weekly basis with discounts available for siblings attending of Dorset County Council employees.
Pre-school Children:
Scallywags Pre-school children are encouraged to develop and learn at their own pace through a wide range of learning opportunities. We have areas of our rooms dedicated to imaginative play, writing opportunities and music, amongst others. We also offer our pre-schoolers the chance to take part in a wide range of other activities such as swimming and visits to the library.
School Age Children:
Scallywags continue to provide childcare for children until they leave primary school. Children are encouraged to spend their leisure time participating in a wide range of activities. We offer sports and games, access to a range of craft activities, trips and visits as well as a homework area.
