Behaviour
We aim to provide an environment in which there is acceptable behaviour and where children learn to respect themselves and each other. Children are encouraged to express their feelings and develop positive strategies for coping with new challenges or stressful situations.

Safe guarding children
Safety and well-being of our children is always our concern. We work in partnership with outside agencies to ensure that children are safe from harm. We have a legal responsibility to report nay concerns and following guidance set out in the Kent Safeguarding Board procedures, we always deal with child protection matters with sensitivity and in a confidential manner.

Equal opportunities
Chuckles is committed to inclusion and providing equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice for all children and families, regardless of religion, gender, culture, sexual orientation or disability. We expect everyone to respect the diversity of our setting, and we will challenge any discriminatory behaviour.

Special Educational needs
The preschool has regard to national and local policy and guidance including Every Child Matters framework and the Special educational needs and Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1995. We have a good track record of developing children with special needs.
