Stepping Stones is a small family owned, twenty place private nursery established in 1991.
The nursery's primary aim is to provide a happy, secure, caring and stimulating environment in which children may further their learning and development at their own pace, through a wide and varied range of activities and opportunities, designed to meet their physical, emotional, social and moral needs.
The purpose built building is bright and cheerful and is single storied. The layout has been designed to cater for all activities and is complemented by having two safe gardens with enclosed play areas. As proprietors we aim to offer a secure, homely atmosphere where parents may leave children knowing that they will be safe and well cared for until their return.
Both proprietors and all the staff are qualified and experienced in all aspects of child care. In addition to caring, we also provide education for the four to five year olds in preparation for their full time schooling.
The general standard of care for children is further enhanced by both proprietor's membership of the professional body, The Day Nurseries Association, and their adherence to its guidelines on standards.
