Toddlers' University is an OfSTED registered Children's Private Day Nursery situated on the corner of Park Road and Doris Road in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

We are located in a beautiful former Chapel, which was converted into a Children`s Day Nursery in May 1997. A new first floor was constructed whilst retaining many of the original interesting features such as exposed beams, curved walls and the original shaped windows.
It is our aim at Toddlers` University to provide a superior standard of care and education for all children with a safe, happy, stimulating and varied day providing a number of activities which will help children develop to the best of their ability. These activities include art and craft, construction, stories and imaginative play, music, singing and free-play.
At our last Ofsted inspection in March 2007, Ofsted commented: "Children are in the care of well qualified and experienced staff who are fully supportive to ensure they are happy and settled in the nursery."
In fact, all members of staff at Toddlers` University are Fully Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or 4 which far exceeds the requirements of the National Standards for Under 8s Day Care.
Our staffing ratios are designed to offer the best possible attention to children in our care and exceed the National Standards. They are:
Babies (3 months to 2 years): 1 staff member to 2 or 3 babies
Toddlers (2 to 3 years): 1 staff member to 3 or 4 toddlers
Pre-School (3+ to 8 years): 1 staff member to between 4 and 8 children.
We offer Free sessions under the government's grant funding scheme. Free sessions are available to all 3 and 4 year old children and comprise a 3 hour session for 5 days per week during term time. Parents do not need to apply for this grant funding as we organise this on your behalf. Therefore, please ask us for further details, so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Complementing the sessional care described above we also run an active Before School Club from 07:30 every weekday morning which comprises breakfast, child care and activities followed by accompanying the children to their local schools.
At the end of the day we run a very popular After School Club where we collect children from the local schools, bring them back to the Nursery and provide an afternoon tea, child care and activities until 6pm.
We offer a full range of meals including Breakfast, Lunch and Tea, which are carefully prepared and cooked on the premises by our experienced cook.
Toddlers` University is a member of the National Day Nurseries Association.

From the main roundabout at the bottom of Chalons Way to the South Side of Ilkeston, take the last exit before the Nottingham exit turning into Park Road. Continue along Park Road until you reach Toddlers' University which is approximately 1/3 mile on the Left Hand Side.
