Pillar Box Montessori Nursery opened in February 1995, and is situated in a five storey Victorian House with a large beautiful garden.
We are conveniently situated on Bow Road, London E3 adjacent to Bow Road underground station and Bow Church DLR station.
We are registered to care for children from 2 years until 7 years, and these age groups are split over 3 rooms catering for the age and stage of the children's development. The children are welcomed into a warm, affectionate and caring environment for learning, allowing them to develop at their own pace which will help them to achieve their full intellectual, moral and cultural potential.
We follow the Montessori method of teaching, alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage.
All staff are fully qualified and experienced in caring and teaching the specific age groups we cater for, and we take up CRB enhanced disclosures 2 references before employment commences. Staff regularly update their knowledge through extra training.
The Nursery Chef caters for breakfast, mid morning snack, 2 course lunch and afternoon snack. All our food is in line with our Healthy Food Policy of fresh produce at all times and we can cater for all dietary requirements.
We work in close partnership with parents and carers promoting that they are the child's first and foremost educators. We give verbal and written feedback at the end of every day, have 2 Parents Evenings a year and invite Parent/Carers to join us for other activities throughout the year.
Throughout the year we celebrate a vast array of cultural festivals and Equal Opportunities and Inclusion are extremely important to us all.
